WASHINGTON, D.C. – Yesterday, U.S. Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) joined the entire Iowa congressional delegation in a united effort, sending a letter urging the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to approve year-round sales of E-15 beginning this year. The current authorization by the EPA allows year-round sales in eight states, including Iowa, starting in 2025.

"Year-round access to E-15 will lower gas prices for our families, support our farmers, and keep our biofuels industry strong. While I’m glad that the Biden administration finally approved year-round sales of E-15 in Iowa, there is no reason to delay this authorization until 2025," expressed Rep. Feenstra in the letter.

Expressing his pride in standing alongside his colleagues in the Iowa delegation, Rep. Feenstra emphasized the importance of immediate action, stating, "I’m proud to join my colleagues in the Iowa delegation to request that the EPA allow for E-15 to be sold year-round beginning this year, not 2025. With inflation draining wallets and impacting our businesses, our families deserve relief at the pump and our producers deserve certainty in this vital market."

The complete letter addressed to the EPA can be accessed for further reading and details.
