Danny Barillas Guevara, age 41 of Sioux City, Iowa, was arrested on March 10 following a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 75 and Jade Avenue. Authorities said Barillas Guevara was found to be driving with a suspended license and did not have the required SR-22 insurance on file with the State of Iowa.

The arrest was announced on March 11. The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office transported Barillas Guevara to the Plymouth County Jail after confirming his license status and insurance requirement during the stop.

SR-22 insurance is often mandated by state authorities for drivers who have had certain violations or suspensions. Failing to maintain this coverage can result in further legal consequences.
