City of Sioux City recently issued the following announcement.

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA) will be evaluating the Sioux City Police Department as a candidate for re-accreditation.

As part of the re-accreditation process, our agency must conduct a Public Information Session, during which a team of CALEA assessors will receive comments, concerns and opinions on the Sioux City Police Department’s compliance with CALEA standards and process. 

We invite you to attend the Public Information Session located at the Sioux City Public Museum, 607 4th Street on Monday, February 28, 2022 at 6:00 pm.

If you are unable to attend the public hearing but would like to provide comments to the CALEA assessment team, please call (712) 279-6112 between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 1st, 2022. Calls will be taken by the Assessment Team only.
