The grand opening for the Chris Larsen Park Riverfront Development scheduled for June 2, 2023 at 1:30 p.m. has been postponed. Vegetation needs more time to get established. The grand opening will be held as a community event that will be open to the public. A separate announcement will be made when the grand opening has been re-scheduled.

Limited areas of the park are available for public use. The Dog Park is among the areas not currently available.

The Chris Larsen Park Riverfront Development Project is part of a long-term effort to encourage a comprehensive, multi-faceted revitalization of the riverfront and downtown. Tourism and residential projects such as these promote an environment that is conducive for economic growth and quality of life.
