U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) joined other members of the Iowa Congressional Delegation at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware to attend the dignified transfer ceremony for two Iowa Army Reservists, Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien and Sgt. Declan J. Coady. The servicemembers were killed in an Iranian drone strike on March 1.
“It is a solemn honor to attend the dignified transfer of these brave servicemembers who were killed by an Iranian drone strike on March 1st,” said Rep. Feenstra. “Our state and our nation grieve their loss, including Army Reserve Maj. Jeffrey R. O’Brien and Sgt. Declan J. Coady. In this moment, we must stand together in support for their families and loved ones as they are reunited. I continue to pray for the safety and success of our servicemembers who are engaged in the Middle East.”
Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th District in Congress since 2021, after replacing Steve King, and previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. He was born in Hull, Iowa, in 1969 and continues to reside there. Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a bachelor’s degree in 1991.
