U.S. Representative Randy Feenstra (R-Hull) released a statement following President Trump’s State of the Union address, expressing support for the president’s leadership and policy achievements.

“Tonight, President Trump gave a historic State of the Union address showcasing the strength of our union under his leadership,” said Rep. Feenstra. “From the largest tax cut in history, to securing our borders, lowering health care costs, bringing back manufacturing, and negotiating historic trade deals for our farmers, President Trump is delivering real results for Americans. Among these achievements is the signing of legislation that included Sarah’s Law, which honors the life of Sarah Root, tragically taken by a drunk-driving illegal immigrant. It was an honor to have her father, Scott Root, and her brother, Scotty Root, as my guests for this momentous occasion. I look forward to another year of success under President Trump’s leadership and delivering more results for Iowa’s 4th District.”

Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th district in Congress since 2021 after succeeding Steve King. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there. He graduated from Dordt University with a bachelor’s degree in 1991.
