Gill Hauling has begun replacing garbage and recycling containers citywide. The process will take approximately two months. Each day, there are 9 trash routes that are driven by Gill Hauling.  One of those routes on that day’s collection cycle will have their garbage and recycling containers switched out with new containers.

We understand that there may be times you are short bins. Gill Hauling is advising you keep all containers on the curb during your scheduled pick-up day and/or visible so that personnel can ensure you receive all the correct bins.  If you do not receive the new containers the first week, they will get exchanged out in the following weeks. Thank you for your patience as we work through this process.

The procurement of new bins is part of the Gill Hauling contract that will go into effect July 1, 2023.  This was at no cost to our residents.  All old bins will be recycled or repurposed.

Residents may see an increase in collection service staff in their neighborhood during this transition.

Contact Gill Hauling at 712-279-0151 to answer any questions or request a different size or additional collection bin(s).
