U.S. Senator Joni Ernst posted a series of statements on her social media account between March 24 and March 25, 2026, addressing concerns over federal loan oversight, national security priorities, and recent actions by Democratic lawmakers.
On March 24, Ernst wrote: “The Biden admin made almost an entire year’s worth of SBA loans to potentially ineligible borrowers and looked the other way. These are in critical need of review – and every improper cent should be repaid. I’m confident @SBA_Kelly will right this wrong – on behalf of our”. The post raises questions about the administration’s handling of Small Business Administration loans and calls for a review of disbursements.
The following day, Ernst shared her perspective on national security with the statement: “If America sets its sights on protecting Americans, it will achieve it. https://t.co/B8qa64WE0v” (March 25). Later that day, she criticized Democratic lawmakers regarding Department of Homeland Security operations: “Shame on the Democrats for shutting @DHSgov down for 40 days! https://t.co/qVFDSN24Wn” (March 25).
