On July 8, 2025, Ernst highlighted “A major step toward preventing China and other foreign adversaries from buying U.S. farmland.” She mentioned her efforts to make Secretary Rollins a member of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) through her FARMLAND Act. Ernst emphasized her commitment to protecting agriculture, national security, and food security.
