Senator Joni Ernst has recently shared her views on agricultural achievements, education funding, and tax policy through a series of posts on social media. The Iowa Republican highlighted successes in the state’s agriculture sector, advocated for changes to federal education funding related to immigration status, and reaffirmed her commitment to repealing the federal estate tax.

On July 9, 2025, Ernst emphasized the strength of Iowa’s agricultural future by pointing to recent achievements at a local event. She wrote: “We know the future of agriculture is strong in Iowa! Look no further than a record-breaking year for the Neal and Kitty Conover Livestock Judging Camp.”

The following day, July 10, 2025, Ernst addressed concerns about federal spending on education for undocumented immigrants. She stated: “This is just common sense, folks. Americans’ tax dollars should not be funding the education of illegal immigrants.”

On July 11, 2025, Ernst reiterated her opposition to the federal estate tax—often referred to as the “Death Tax”—and its impact on family businesses and farms. She said: “I am proud to have led the fight to permanently repeal the punitive Death Tax to ensure family-run farms and small businesses stay in the family. The last thing folks grieving the loss of a loved one should be worried about is being forced to sell the farm to pay taxes.”

Ernst represents Iowa in the U.S. Senate and has been an advocate for rural communities and agricultural issues throughout her tenure.
