Joni Ernst, U.S. Senator representing Iowa, has recently used her social media platform to highlight legislative initiatives and express support for allies and military families.

On August 25, 2025, Ernst posted about her legislative priorities for small businesses: “The One Big Beautiful Bill delivered massive wins for small businesses. Congress must continue fighting for small businesses by passing my INNOVATE Act to expand opportunities for Iowa entrepreneurs, stand up to China, and support America’s warfighters.” The INNOVATE Act is a proposal aimed at enhancing opportunities for entrepreneurs in Iowa while addressing competition with China and supporting the U.S. military.

Later that day, on August 25, 2025, Ernst expressed gratitude toward Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding ongoing efforts related to hostages: “Thank you, @netanyahu for your steadfast support in bringing home all of the hostages. Israel will always have a friend in America. “ This statement reflects continued bipartisan congressional support for the U.S.-Israel relationship.

On August 26, 2025, Ernst acknowledged Gold Star families and former President Donald Trump: “God bless our Gold Star families! Thank you President Trump for hosting them in the Oval Office and rightfully honoring our servicemembers who lost their lives in the Abbey Gate terrorist attack.” Gold Star families are those who have lost loved ones serving in the U.S. Armed Forces; the Abbey Gate attack refers to an incident during the withdrawal from Afghanistan that resulted in multiple American casualties.

Senator Joni Ernst has served as a prominent advocate on issues related to national security and veterans’ affairs throughout her tenure in Congress.
