Senator Joni Ernst, representing Iowa in the U.S. Senate, recently shared a series of posts on her social media account reflecting on international partnerships and national leadership.
On February 14, 2026, Ernst referenced remarks by Secretary Rubio, stating: “Powerful words from @SecRubio! When our allies and partnerships are stronger, our adversaries are weaker. As America charts the path for a new century of prosperity, we hope to do it alongside our European allies.”
Two days later, on Presidents Day, she posted: “Happy Presidents Day! Today, we honor the leaders who shaped our nation. God bless the United States!” On the same day, she followed up with another message: “This Presidents Day, I’m especially thankful for President Trump’s leadership! He is truly unleashing the Golden Age of America by driving down costs, making our communities safer, and ensuring Americans can keep more of the money they earned!”
Senator Ernst has served as Iowa’s senator since her historic election in 2014 as both the first woman from Iowa and the first female combat veteran to serve in the U.S. Senate. She leads the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and participates in several other key committees including Armed Services; Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry; and Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs. Her office provides constituent services such as casework assistance across Iowa.
