Senator Joni Ernst has recently highlighted achievements and community contributions in Iowa through a series of social media posts.
On September 23, 2025, Ernst posted about presenting her Small Business of the Week award to Marcus Lumber. She wrote, “I was honored to present my Small Business of the Week award to @MarcusLumber! They have nailed it when it comes to building a legacy of quality service and for over a century, they’ve hammered out success through hard work, innovation, and Iowa grit.”
The following day, on September 24, she recognized another local business with her weekly honor. Ernst stated, “Orange City Family Animal Care has built a legacy of community service and going a whisker above to get the job done. It was amazing to recognize their great work with my Small Business of the Week award!”
Later that same day, Ernst shared her experience participating in an event with the Iowa National Guard. In her post from September 24, she said, “It was a blast joining the @IowaNatGuard to unveil the new vehicle maintenance shop that will support our soldiers!”
These recognitions are part of Senator Ernst’s ongoing efforts as a U.S. Senator representing Iowa to spotlight small businesses and support local military initiatives.
