May is Historic Preservation Month and the Le Mars Historic Preservation Commission will offer a workshop: “Research, Re$ource, Restore”. The workshop is for property owners, contractors and anyone interested in historic restoration projects. Information includes how to research the history of a property, how to find funding – including grant opportunities – for a restoration project, and where to find materials that retain the historic features of a property. 

Presenters will be members of the Le Mars Historic Preservation Commission and Nelda Werkmeister of ND Millwerks Salvage and Sales of Paullina. The workshop will be held Friday, May 13th, 4:00-7:00 pm, at the Central Event Center with a light meal served; and continues Saturday, May 14th, with a morning road trip to ND Millwerks in Paullina.

All workshop sessions are free of charge. Reservations are required by May 6th, call the City of Le Mars, 712-546-7018
