When Domestic Violence Enters the Workplace: 

1 in 4 women will experience domestic abuse in her lifetime. 5% of victims are male. These numbers are at epidemic proportions. 

Participants will learn…

How to recognize domestic abuse. 

What resources are available for employers. 

What resources are available for survivors.

How to stay safe in these situations.

Presenter is Cathy VanMaanen, Safe Place domestic abuse victim advocate. Cathy has been providing services for over 25 years and has meet with well over one thousand survivors. Cathy also works to educate the community about domestic abuse and how people can help. Kevin Vande Vegte, Le Mars, Iowa Chief of Police, and Stephanie Henrich, Executive Director of CAASA will be speaking as well.
