Sioux City Fire Rescue would like to introduce to the citizens of Sioux City our new state-of-the-art training facility!

After more than three years of design, coordination, and work by FEH Design, American Fire Training Systems, L&L Builders and our Fire Training Officer, Rich Andersen, we have built the biggest state-of-the-art training facility in our region and is the most innovative training facility available.

SCFR is committed to excellence in training. SCFR trains over 42,000 hours per year on a variety of subjects including but not limited to: firefighting, rescue, special operations, emergency medical, hazardous materials, driver/operator, command and control, and leadership. Our devotion and commitment to training gives us high-performing, hard-training professionals we can count on.

The new tower offers Class A and Class B burn facilities, confined space units, structural floor collapse props, mobile units, and forcible entry. This tower gives Sioux City Fire Rescue a practical use structure to conduct training at all times of the year. Props also Include single level residential structure training as well as multi-story commercial structure training.

The tower will also be utilized by our partners like Northwest Iowa Fire School, Western Iowa Technical Community College Fire Science class, and the Sioux City Community Schools Career Academy. We look forward to sharing with our community partners!
