Plymouth County Sheriff responds to single vehicle accident on Highway 3

The Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office responded on March 11 to a single vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 6:30 a.m. on Highway 3 near Evergreen Avenue.

The incident involved a green 2011 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 traveling eastbound when it hit a patch of black ice, causing the driver to lose control. The vehicle left the roadway and entered the north ditch of Highway 3.

The driver was identified as Brody Hoffman, age 20, from Akron, Iowa. Authorities reported that no injuries resulted from the crash.

Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $2,500. The Silverado will be privately towed from the scene.

No further information about contributing factors or additional vehicles was provided by officials.
