Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office arrests man for multiple offenses after traffic stop

On February 9, 2026, at approximately 9:57 p.m., a deputy from the Plymouth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Highway 75 near 250th Street. The vehicle involved was a silver 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Authorities identified the driver as Jose Francisco Calderon Ruiz.

Following the stop, Calderon Ruiz was arrested and taken to the Plymouth County Jail. According to officials, he faces charges that include possession of marijuana (first offense), possession of drug paraphernalia, operating without a valid driver’s license, failure to provide proof of financial liability, and driving an unregistered vehicle.
