Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, posted several messages on his Twitter account on July 29, 2025, addressing legislative developments, public tragedies, and local disaster impacts.

In a tweet published at 00:49 UTC, Feenstra voiced support for recent federal tax legislation. He stated, “President Trump’s ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ is 100% pro-family. For families, this law protects almost $32,000 from taxes by making the doubled standard deduction permanent.”

Later that evening at 01:08 UTC, Feenstra responded to news of violence affecting Americans and law enforcement personnel. He wrote, “Tonight, we mourn our fellow Americans, including an NYPD officer, who were tragically murdered by a vile criminal. Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones.”

By the following afternoon at 14:38 UTC, Feenstra addressed constituents in Northwest Iowa after damaging weather events. He tweeted: “Last night, Sioux Center, Orange City, and communities across Northwest Iowa sustained significant damage after severe thunderstorms and high winds. Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted. Please contact our office at https://t.co/Qm5Oak1job if we can help helpful.”

Feenstra has served as U.S. Representative since replacing Steve King in 2021. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull in 1969 and a graduate of Dordt University (BA ’91), Feenstra continues to reside in Hull while serving his district.
