Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, has shared several updates on his Twitter account regarding recent events and legislative developments. Feenstra, who succeeded Steve King in Congress and previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021, was born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and is a graduate of Dordt University.

On July 5, Feenstra expressed solidarity with Texas residents by stating “Iowans are keeping Texas in our thoughts and prayers.”

Two days later, on July 7, he highlighted a significant legislative achievement by President Trump through his tweet that described the completion of the border wall under Trump’s initiative. He wrote: “President Trump’s ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ finishes the border wall and hires 10,000 new ICE agents, 5,000 new customs officers, and 3,000 new border patrol agents. It also deploys technologies like sensors and cameras to combat drug traffickers.”

Later on the same day, Feenstra celebrated another aspect of President Trump’s bill signed into law on Independence Day. He noted its impact on tax reduction for various groups across America: “On Independence Day, President Trump signed the ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ into law — liberating Americans from high taxes. This law is the LARGEST TAX CUT for families, farmers, workers, seniors and small businesses in American history.”
