Representative Randy Feenstra, who has served Iowa’s 4th District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently posted a series of statements on social media addressing significant national events and legislative developments. Feenstra, who previously served in the Iowa Senate and is a native of Hull, Iowa, commented on topics ranging from national security to agricultural policy.

On July 13, 2025, Feenstra marked the anniversary of an attempt on former President Trump’s life by stating: “One year ago today, President Trump survived an attempted assassination. Hoisting his fist in the air, he assured the American people that not even the most evil forces could stop him from fighting for our country.”

The following day, July 14, 2025, Feenstra addressed new federal initiatives concerning agricultural security: “The Trump administration’s National Farm Security Action Plan will ban China from buying our farmland and secure our agricultural supply chains. This initiative is a win for Iowa farmers and agriculture.”

Later on July 14, Feenstra highlighted recent legislative efforts supporting rural banking and agriculture: “President Trump’s ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ is a major win for our community banks. It includes provisions from my bill — the #ACRE Act — to help community banks offer loans to farmers and ag businesses at lower rates. We’re investing in Rural America and Iowa agriculture!”

Randy Feenstra was born in Hull in 1969 and graduated from Dordt University with a BA in 1991. He replaced Steve King as representative for Iowa’s 4th district in Congress.
