On February 10, 2026, Feenstra highlighted his engagement with educational leaders: “Today, I met with Community Colleges for Iowa. We discussed how best to provide our kids with the best education and expanding the role of community colleges in workforce development. On February 11, 2026, Feenstra addressed fiscal responsibility in public welfare programs: “As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, I’m committed to protecting Iowa taxpayer dollars from fraud. If someone has enough money to send abroad, they shouldn’t be on welfare in the first place. That’s why I introduced legislation to stop welfare funds from being”.
Feenstra has served as U.S. Representative for Iowa’s 4th District since 2021 after previously holding office in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, he is an alumnus of Dordt University (BA ’91). As a member of Congress and participant on key committees such as House Ways and Means Committee—one responsible for taxation and fiscal policy—he has focused on education policy as well as oversight over government spending.
