Rep. Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, posted on his social media accounts about recent legislative developments and White House events in July 2025.

On July 16, Feenstra shared his participation at the White House during the signing of a significant drug policy bill by President Trump. He wrote, “It was great to be at the White House when President Trump signed into law the HALT Fentanyl Act. It will help law enforcement confiscate dangerous drugs, combat the drug cartels, and save lives. Proud to have voted for the HALT Fentanyl Act and very happy to see it become law.”

Later that evening, Feenstra highlighted new tax relief measures for seniors: “The ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ creates a $6,000 tax deduction for our seniors. That means NO TAX on Social Security for the vast majority of seniors!” This statement emphasized changes aimed at reducing financial burdens on older Americans.

On July 17, Feenstra thanked President Trump for acknowledging him during the White House event: “Thank you to President Trump for the shout-out at the White House today! With his signature, the HALT Fentanyl Act is now the law of the land — and our families and communities are safer because of it. We will continue the fight to keep fentanyl and drugs out of our country.”

Randy Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and a graduate of Dordt University with a BA earned in 1991, Feenstra continues to reside in Hull as he carries out his legislative duties.
