Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, recently shared a series of updates on his official social media account regarding legislative actions and community events.

On September 2, 2025, Feenstra announced his support for new sanctions targeting Chinese fentanyl producers. He stated, “Tonight, I voted for the Stop Chinese Fentanyl Act to impose sanctions on Chinese fentanyl producers who flood our country with these deadly drugs. Criminals who manufacture fentanyl must be held accountable for their actions.”

The following day, Feenstra highlighted recent tax policy changes under former President Trump. On September 3, he wrote: “President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cut delivered for Iowans. It eliminated taxes on tips and overtime and created a new $6,000 deduction for our seniors. It also extended and strengthened the 2017 tax cuts, which reduced taxes for families, farmers, and small businesses.”

Later that same day, Feenstra commented on local agricultural advocacy efforts in Iowa: “Last night, our Ag & Manufacturing Liaison — Wes — attended the Plymouth County Farm Bureau Annual Meeting in Le Mars where Bill Tentinger received the Service to Ag Award. I’ll always stand up for our farmers and producers because agriculture is Iowa’s economic engine!”

Feenstra has served as a member of Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021 after previously serving in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and an alumnus of Dordt University (class of 1991), Feenstra has emphasized both national issues such as drug enforcement and local concerns like agricultural development during his tenure.
