Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on his recent activities through a series of posts on September 5, 2025.

On September 5, Feenstra highlighted his office’s involvement with local organizations: “Yesterday, while I was voting in D.C., our Ag & Manufacturing Liaison — Wes — attended the ribbon cutting for the Siouxland Community Foundation’s new location in Sioux City. The foundation — which donated over $3 million last year — supports worthy causes in the Siouxland area.”

Later that day, Feenstra described a diplomatic meeting: “This week, I had the opportunity to sit down with Yerzhan Ashikbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the United States. We discussed how we can strengthen trading relations between our two countries. I appreciate having these conversations to advocate for Iowa.”

In a subsequent post about local sports, Feenstra wrote: “Tomorrow, Iowa State takes on Iowa in Ames for the annual #CyHawk game! I know who I’m cheering for. Go Clones!!! “

Randy Feenstra has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Steve King and previously held office in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and an alumnus of Dordt University (class of 1991), Feenstra continues to reside in Hull while representing his district at the federal level.
