Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, recently shared updates on his legislative priorities and activities through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter). The posts highlight his focus on agricultural policy, tax relief for working families, and collaboration with federal officials.
On February 9, 2026, Feenstra emphasized his commitment to supporting Iowa’s agricultural sector as a member of the House Agriculture Committee. He wrote: “As a member of the @HouseAgGOP, I’m committed to passing a strong Farm Bill that expands markets and supports our farmers, producers, and manufacturers. Representing one of the largest agricultural districts in the nation, I know how critical this Farm Bill is for Iowa farmers.”
The following day, Feenstra highlighted the impact of recent tax legislation on working families in Iowa. On February 10, he posted: “Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, hourly workers will see wages increase by $1,400! This is a real win for working Iowans, and I’ll keep working with President Trump to ensure workers keep more of what they earn.”
Later that same day, Feenstra reported on discussions with USDA Assistant Secretary Herrell regarding local agriculture issues. He stated: “Today, I had the pleasure of meeting with my former colleague and friend, USDA Assistant Secretary Herrell. We had a productive conversation about Iowa’s agriculture priorities, delivering results for the 4th District, and all the hard work USDA has done this year.”
Feenstra was born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and continues to reside there. Before joining Congress in 2021—replacing Steve King—he served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. He graduated from Dordt University with a BA in 1991.
