Rep. Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, recently addressed agricultural policy and tax relief for rural Americans in a series of posts on his social media account.
On March 16, 2026, Feenstra commented on the impact of California’s Proposition 12 on Iowa hog farmers: “For too long, Iowa hog farmers have faced uncertainty because of California’s Prop 12. This unfair mandate lets one state dictate how farmers across the country raise livestock. The Farm Bill will overturn Prop 12, protect family farms, and restore common sense to agricultural”.
The following day, March 17, he highlighted recent tax legislation: “Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, which included my ACRE Act, we lowered taxes by 25% on interest from rural property loans. This will help ensure Iowa farmers, ranchers, landowners, and bankers can access and offer more accessible and affordable loans.”
Later that same day, Feenstra emphasized his efforts to support rural America through additional tax reforms: “Representing one of the largest agricultural districts in the country, I worked to deliver real tax relief for rural America through the Working Families Tax Cuts: Death Tax exemption permanently raised to $15 million ACRE Act to lower interest rates on agricultural and”
Randy Feenstra has served in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021 and previously represented his community in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a BA in 1991.
