Rep. Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, posted a series of updates on his social media account in late August 2025, highlighting legislative progress, community achievements, and local sports victories.

On August 23, Feenstra celebrated a collegiate football victory, writing: “A great 24-21 win for @CycloneFB over Kansas State in Ireland!! GO CLONES!! “

In a post dated August 25, he discussed recent developments in agricultural policy: “Last week, the USDA announced it’s starting to implement legislation I introduced to lower the cost of crop insurance for the next generation of Iowa farmers. My bill was included in the “One, Big, Beautiful Bill,” ensuring young farmers can get more affordable crop insurance.” The referenced legislation aims to make crop insurance more accessible and affordable for young farmers in Iowa.

Later that day, Feenstra highlighted disaster recovery efforts in his district: “Our office has returned more than $3.2 million in FEMA dollars to #IA04 counties and communities. Iowans are resilient, and when disaster strikes, we rally around each other & recover stronger than before. I’ll continue to ensure our communities receive the relief they need.” The mention underscores ongoing efforts to secure federal assistance for local communities affected by disasters.

Feenstra succeeded Steve King as representative of Iowa’s 4th congressional district in 2021 after previously serving in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born and residing in Hull, Iowa since 1969 and a graduate of Dordt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree earned in 1991, Feenstra continues to focus on issues affecting his constituency including agriculture and disaster recovery.
