Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of messages between March 20 and March 23, 2026, highlighting events important to both his constituents and the state of Iowa.
On March 20, Feenstra recognized Match Day for medical students nationwide, writing: “Happy Match Day to our future doctors! Today, medical students across the country learn where they’ll train for residency—a major milestone in their journey to becoming physicians.
We must continue encouraging the next generation to train in Iowa’s outstanding hospitals and”.
Two days later, on March 22, Feenstra attended funeral services for two individuals and expressed condolences: “I was honored to attend the funeral services for Maj. Jeffrey O’Brien and Sgt. Declan Coady.
My prayers remain with their families and loved ones.”
On March 23, he congratulated the Iowa State Cyclones on their athletic achievement: “Huge win this weekend for Iowa State Cyclones—punching their ticket to the Sweet 16.
Join me in congratulating these outstanding young men on a commanding victory. Let’s keep cheering them on through March Madness!”
Randy Feenstra has served as a member of Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021. Before his election to Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a BA in 1991 and continues to reside in Hull.
