Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, recently highlighted legislative efforts and local manufacturing achievements in a series of posts on social media.

On August 19, 2025, Feenstra promoted a new law aimed at bolstering American industry: “Do you want to see more manufacturing jobs created in the United States? Then the ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ is for you. This law makes historic investments in domestic manufacturing, strengthens our supply chains, and helps our businesses compete against foreign countries.”

The following day, Feenstra acknowledged his team’s participation in a local business event: “Earlier today, Jim on our team attended the Seneca Foundry ribbon cutting in Webster City honoring the first anniversary of ownership by Lori Mason. I had the chance to tour this facility in 2023 and appreciated learning more about the work they do manufacturing iron castings.” The message underscores ongoing support for regional manufacturers and their role in local economies.

Later on August 20, Feenstra expressed approval of recent federal actions supporting agriculture: “I’m thrilled that the Trump administration will formally implement my Crop Insurance for Future Farmers Act at the USDA. This bill — which was part of President Trump’s ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ — will lower the cost of crop insurance for the next generation of Iowa farmers!”

Feenstra has served as Iowa’s 4th District representative since replacing Steve King in 2021. Prior to his congressional service, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991.
