Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district, posted a series of statements on September 19, 2025, addressing agricultural trade developments, honoring a public figure, and recognizing military service.

In his first message that day, Feenstra announced Taiwan’s commitment to purchase American agricultural products: “Great news for Iowa farmers and producers! Taiwan announced today that it will buy $10 billion worth of U.S. corn, soybeans, and beef.” (posted September 19, 2025).

Later the same day, Feenstra commented on the passing of Charlie Kirk and legislative actions in his honor: “Charlie Kirk was a devoted husband and loving father who committed himself to our American values of civic discourse and free speech. I was proud to support a resolution honoring his life and legacy while condemning political violence in the strongest terms possible.” (posted September 19, 2025).

In another post recognizing National POW/MIA Recognition Day, Feenstra wrote: “On National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we pause to thank those courageous Americans who were prisoners of war for their service and sacrifice. We also keep those who are still missing in action in our thoughts and prayers.” (posted September 19, 2025).

Feenstra has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after replacing Steve King. He previously represented northwest Iowa in the state Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and an alumnus of Dordt University with a Bachelor’s degree earned in 1991, Feenstra continues to reside in Hull.
