Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district, used his social media platform this week to highlight recent legislative efforts and tax policy outcomes as Tax Day approaches.

On April 13, Feenstra posted about the impact of Republican-backed tax measures: “April 15th, this week, marks Tax Day, and thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, Republicans are putting more money back in the hands of hardworking Americans. This has meant: Average tax refunds are up nearly 11% this year, exceeding $3,400 22 million Americans are” (April 13, 2026).

Later that day, Feenstra addressed challenges facing agricultural producers: “As our farmers and producers continue to face rising input and fertilizer costs, ensuring transparency is more important than ever. That’s why I was proud to help lead the Fertilizer Transparency Act, to provide producers with timely pricing information so they can plan ahead,” (April 13, 2026).

On April 14, he reiterated support for tax relief measures specific to Iowa residents: “Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, Iowans are keeping more of their hard-earned money this Tax Day! As a member of the House Ways and Means Committee, I was honored to be a direct voice for Iowans to deliver this historic tax relief. I look forward to continuing to work” (April 14, 2026).

Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th district in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021. He previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021 and holds a degree from Dordt University. Born in Hull in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there.
