Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on social media this week regarding tax policy, infrastructure improvements, and meetings with local business leaders.
On March 19, 2026, Feenstra highlighted recent tax benefits for family farms: “Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, family farms can deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income. This is a lifeline for farmers and manufacturers—helping them reinvest in equipment, hire workers, and stay competitive. The facts are clear: under President Trump’s”.
Later that day, Feenstra reported on a meeting with Tom Brennan of Casey’s General Stores: “This week, I met with Tom Brennan, Chief Merchandising Officer of Casey’s General Stores. We had a great conversation about key challenges facing Iowa’s convenience stores. Our local convenience stores fuel Main Street, and I’m committed to ensuring Iowans have access to safe,”.
In another post on March 19, Feenstra discussed infrastructure efforts related to agricultural exports: “Strong markets depend on strong infrastructure. That’s why I was proud to lead the FRIDGE Act and secure its inclusion in the Farm Bill—boosting refrigeration and cold storage at our ports so Iowa-raised beef, pork, turkey, and chicken can reach global markets without spoilage.”
Feenstra has served as the representative for Iowa’s 4th District since 2021 after replacing Steve King. He previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University in 1991 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
