Rep. Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, recently posted several statements on his social media account addressing President Trump’s trade policies, welfare requirements for able-bodied adults, and investments in agriculture.
On August 4, 2025, Feenstra commented on President Trump’s recent trade negotiations: “In just the few months since he’s been in office, President Trump has negotiated strong trade deals with numerous countries. These agreements truly put American industry and agriculture first, opening new export markets for American goods.”
The following day, August 5, Feenstra addressed welfare policy: “It is just common sense that able-bodied Americans without children WORK if they receive taxpayer-funded benefits.”
Later on August 5, Feenstra reported on his office’s involvement in local agricultural events and referenced federal support for farmers: “Yesterday, our Regional Director — Jim — attended the Calhoun County Farm Bureau Annual Dinner in Lake City. President Trump’s “One, Big, Beautiful Bill” delivered a $50-billion investment in the farm economy, and I’ll keep working to pass a new Farm Bill for our producers.”
Randy Feenstra succeeded Steve King as representative of Iowa’s 4th district in 2021 after previously serving in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and a graduate of Dordt University (1991), Feenstra continues to reside in Hull while advocating for issues affecting his constituency.
