Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of tweets addressing issues related to veterans’ healthcare, agricultural security, and support for young farmers.

On July 21, 2025, Feenstra emphasized his commitment to veterans: “It is our responsibility to ensure that our veterans receive the high-quality healthcare and benefits that they have earned and deserve. It’s why I backed two bills to support cancer research for veterans and ensure that the VA is fully and appropriately funded.”

The following day, he addressed agricultural policy and national security concerns: “The Trump administration’s National Farm Security Action Plan is a critical initiative. It is our Republican road map to keep China and other foreign adversaries away from our farmland and pass family farms from one generation to the next.”

Later on July 22, Feenstra discussed meeting with constituents visiting Washington D.C.: “I enjoyed sitting down with Jonathan and Brendon who are visiting our nation’s capital this week. Jonathan farms in Pottawattamie County and is passionate about agriculture. We agreed that delivering death tax relief and supporting young farmers strengthen Iowa agriculture.”

Feenstra has served as a member of Congress since 2021 after succeeding Steve King. Prior to his congressional tenure, he was an Iowa state senator from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there today. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dordt University, awarded in 1991.
