Rep. Randy Feenstra, U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared updates on social media about his recent activities in Washington and advocacy for veterans and agriculture.

On September 15, 2025, Feenstra posted about attending a memorial event at the U.S. Capitol: “Tonight, I participated in a prayer vigil in memory of Charlie Kirk at the U.S. Capitol.

He practiced civil discourse and respectful dialogue, which are fundamental pillars of our society, and reassured young Americans that their voice matters.

His legacy and work will live on.”

The following day, Feenstra addressed healthcare access for veterans in rural areas through telehealth services. On September 16, 2025, he wrote: “Telehealth is a vital lifeline for our veterans, especially those living in rural Iowa, to get the prescriptions and care they need.

It’s why I supported passage of legislation to permanently authorize VA healthcare providers to prescribe medications for veterans via telehealth.”

Later that same day, Feenstra discussed agricultural policy with industry representatives: “I had a great conversation with @IowaTurkey about how we can support our turkey farmers & increase demand for turkey nationwide and across the globe.

We also discussed the importance of foreign animal disease prevention and response.

I’ll always stand up for our turkey growers!”

Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th district since defeating Steve King in 2021. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there today and holds a BA from Dordt University.
