Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several topics this week through his social media posts, ranging from farm safety to federal government negotiations and local infrastructure projects.

On September 24, 2025, Feenstra marked a national awareness event by posting, “This week is National Farm Safety and Health Week. It’s a time to remember the importance of farm safety and implement important practices to keep our rural communities safe and healthy. I continue to wish our farmers and producers a safe and bountiful harvest.”

The following day, on September 25, he commented on ongoing congressional debates regarding healthcare for undocumented immigrants amid government funding discussions: “Democrats are threatening to shut down the government if Congress doesn’t give illegal immigrants free healthcare. Shameful.”

Later that same day, Feenstra shared news about local military infrastructure developments: “This week, the groundbreaking for a new Vehicle Maintenance Shop at the 113th Cavalry Unit of the Iowa National Guard took place in Sioux City. This will replace the shop built in 1953 & allow for a runway expansion @ Sioux City Airport, supporting the 185th Air Refueling Wing.”

Randy Feenstra has served as Iowa’s 4th District representative since replacing Steve King in 2021. Prior to his tenure in Congress, he served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and an alumnus of Dordt University with a BA earned in 1991, Feenstra continues to reside in Hull.
