Rep. Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, shared updates on recent legislative actions and community honors through several posts on September 15, 2025.

In a post from that afternoon, Feenstra highlighted his support for the National Defense Authorization Act, stating, “Last week, I voted to pass the National Defense Authorization Act, which makes important investments in our military and national security. From delivering a pay raise for our troops to cutting unnecessary spending, we are putting our soldiers first.” (September 15, 2025).

Later that day, Feenstra recognized two veterans from Franklin County by presenting their families with medals and accolades. He wrote, “I’m glad our office could honor 2 veterans from Franklin County by presenting to their family a combined 12 medals & accolades that they earned serving our country in uniform. The late Roy Spangenberg and the late Arvin Stadtlander served our country with dignity & distinction.” (September 15, 2025).

In an evening post, Feenstra expressed condolences following the death of Charlie Kirk. He stated, “Charlie Kirk was a devoted father and loving husband who engaged in real debate and respectful dialogue with others. The impact that he had on our college campuses as a conservative voice is enormous and immeasurable. May God comfort his family and may Charlie rest in peace.” (September 15, 2025).

Randy Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021 and previously served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there and is an alumnus of Dordt University.
