Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, shared updates on meetings with state and local officials as well as business representatives regarding infrastructure investment, flood recovery efforts, and pro-growth policies for the construction industry.

On September 17, 2025, Feenstra posted about a meeting with transportation leaders: “I enjoyed meeting with the Director of the Iowa Department of Transportation, Scott Marler, and DOT commissioners about investing in Iowa’s infrastructure. From roads and bridges to airports and waterways, we are focused on transporting Iowa-made products & keeping Iowans safe.”

Later that day, he discussed flood relief efforts in Rock Valley: “Earlier today, I met with local leaders and city officials from Rock Valley, including Mayor Kevin Van Otterloo and City Administrator Tom Van Maanen, to talk about ongoing flood recovery efforts. I won’t stop until our neighbors in Rock Valley get the full relief they deserve.”

Feenstra also highlighted a discussion with business representatives and the Associated General Contractors of America: “Yesterday, I had the opportunity to chat with @AGCofA and representatives from businesses in Ida Grove, Des Moines, West Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, Granger, and Sioux City. The pro-growth policies that we passed will help support the construction industry and the jobs it creates.”

Feenstra has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Steve King. Before his tenure in Washington D.C., he served in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969, Feenstra continues to reside there. He is an alumnus of Dordt University where he earned a BA degree.
