Representative Randy Feenstra, who has served Iowa’s 4th District in the U.S. Congress since 2021, recently shared a series of posts on social media addressing legislative developments and policy changes affecting Iowa agriculture and national border security. Feenstra, a Hull native and Dordt University graduate, emphasized his advocacy for family farms and critiqued federal immigration policies.

On July 11, 2025, Feenstra highlighted coverage from the Lyon County Reporter regarding new agricultural legislation. He stated: “President Trump’s ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ delivers for Iowa agriculture. It strengthens crop insurance, increases reference prices, and saves two million family farms by increasing the death tax exemption.”

Later that day, Feenstra commented on border security measures under recent presidential administrations. He wrote: “The Biden administration let violent criminals and gang members into our country — no questions asked. President Trump immediately reversed Biden’s failed border policies, locked down our border, and detained and deported criminal illegal immigrants and drug traffickers.”

In a subsequent post on July 11, Feenstra reiterated his stance on estate tax relief for farmers. He said: “Delivering extra relief from the death tax for our family farms was non-negotiable for me. Now that the ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ is the law of the land, farmers like Dennis can rest assured that their land can be passed onto the next generation. Just the way it should be!”

Randy Feenstra succeeded Steve King in representing Iowa’s 4th District in Congress after serving in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021.
