Rep. Randy Feenstra, a U.S. Congressman representing Iowa’s 4th district since 2021, recently highlighted several initiatives and legislative actions on his social media accounts.
On April 6, Feenstra promoted the annual Congressional Art Competition for students in his district. He wrote, “Applications for our Congressional Art Competition close on April 24! I encourage all interested students to apply by the deadline at https://t.co/EZACR86EeF. This is an amazing opportunity to showcase your creativity and represent our district, winning artwork will be”.
The following day, Feenstra addressed tax relief measures benefiting small businesses under Republican leadership. On April 7, he posted: “Thanks to the Working Families Tax Cuts, Republicans are delivering real relief for small businesses across the country: 20% small business deduction Average tax cut of $4,600 Restored 100% immediate expensing Doubled upfront write-offs for small business investments https://t.co/6SzBD4dzHJ”.
Later that same day, Feenstra discussed efforts to improve broadband access in rural areas. He stated: “It’s essential we close the digital divide between rural and urban communities, ensuring they can stay connected. That’s why I introduced the Middle Miles for Rural America Act and was glad to see it included in the Farm Bill to ensure our communities have access to reliable”.
Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th District in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Iowa Senate from 2009 until his election to Congress.
He was born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and continues to reside there at age 54.
He graduated from Dordt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1991.
