Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform to highlight recent legislative developments and local events in early August 2025.

On August 11, Feenstra emphasized a new law signed by President Trump: “On July 4th, President Trump signed The, One, Big, Beautiful Bill. This historic law delivered the LARGEST TAX CUT ever for families, farmers, workers, seniors, and small businesses. Later that day he focused on provisions aimed at parents: “If you are a parent to young children, the ‘One, Big, Beautiful Bill’ is for you. We increased the child tax credit to $2,200, indexed it to inflation, and made it permanent. This provision will support our families and make raising kids more affordable.”

In another post on August 12 about regional outreach efforts and agriculture’s importance in Iowa’s economy Feenstra wrote: “Tonight, our Regional Director — Jim — attended the Humboldt County Farm Bureau Annual Dinner at River Valley Orchards & Winery in Humboldt. Agriculture powers Iowa’s economy & keeps our rural communities vibrant. I’ll always be the strongest voice for our farmers & producers!”

Randy Feenstra has represented Iowa’s 4th Congressional District since replacing Steve King in 2021; prior to this role he served as an Iowa state senator from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, Feenstra holds a bachelor’s degree from Dordt University earned in 1991.
