Rep. Randy Feenstra, who represents Iowa’s 4th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed a range of issues on November 3, 2025, through a series of posts on his social media account.
In his first post of the day, Feenstra commented on the ongoing government shutdown by stating: "It’s Day 34 of the Schumer Shutdown. Democrats are inflicting needless pain on Iowans because they won’t budge on giving free healthcare to illegal immigrants or spending an additional $1.5 trillion. It’s time for Democrats to come to their senses and reopen the government." (November 3, 2025)
Later that afternoon, Feenstra discussed tax policy affecting Iowa's agricultural sector and small businesses: "One of the greatest threats to the long-term success of Iowa ag and business is the death tax. It's why, as part of President Trump’s Working Families Tax Cuts, I worked to increase the death tax exemption to protect our family farms and small businesses." (November 3, 2025)
In a subsequent post that evening, he highlighted local efforts regarding military academy nominations: "Today, our #IA04 Military Academy Board met in Fort Dodge to interview students for nomination to one of our nation’s military academies. I appreciate these Iowans for volunteering their time for this important process and thank all the students who participated." (November 3, 2025)
Randy Feenstra has served in Congress since replacing Steve King in 2021 and previously held office in the Iowa Senate from 2009 to 2021. Born in Hull, Iowa in 1969 and currently residing there at age 54, Feenstra graduated from Dordt University with a bachelor's degree in 1991.
