City of Sioux City recently issued the following announcement.

The City of Sioux City will begin a new conversation series titled The Difference is Dialogue to serve as a way for the community to have honest conversations about tough topics. Our backgrounds influence how we interact with one another and at times it can be difficult to talk about topics we don’t know much about. Conversations in this series will include group dialogues, panels, and more.

The first event in the series will be held on Wednesday, January 12 at 5:00pm in the Gleeson Room of the Downtown Sioux City Public Library, 529 Pierce Street. The theme will be “Stigma” and various types of stigma will be shared.

The event will be live streamed on Facebook via the City of Sioux City: Diversity page.

Contact Sioux City Community Inclusion Liaison Semehar Ghebrekidan with questions at sghebrekidan@sioux-city.org or by phone at 712-203-7738.
