City of Storm Lake issued the following announcement on Nov. 15.
The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation has recognized excellence in area business each year since 2010 with the Business Excellence Awards. Recipients are nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of business people from throughout the region. Winners come from varied industries and all four counties. The four categories are Young Professional of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Small Business of the Year and Large Business of the Year.
Congratulations to Jay Butterfield, the 2019 Iowa Lakes Corridor Entrepreneur of the Year.
The Chairman of the Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation annually honors an area business with the Chairman’s Award in appreciation of outstanding service to economic growth and prosperity. FY 2019 Chairman was John Tatman of Demco Products in Spencer. Buena Vista University, this year’s Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation Chairman’s Award winner.
