City of Sloan issued the following announcement on Dec. 1.
The holiday season is approaching and it's time to make plans for our 4th Annual Sloan Lighted Parade & Soup Supper! Free will donation Soup Supper will be held at the community hall from 3:30-6PM with the parade starting immediately after at 6PM. Santa will also be present with more details on that to come! And, NEW THIS YEAR- Ornament decorating by the Westwood Education Foundation along with Pickled Palette with those proceeds going to the foundation (more details to come). In previous years, proceeds went towards the Splash Pad at our city park which has been a great asset to the community. This year, we hope to raise money to improve our park even more with renovations. PARADE FLOATS ARE NEEDED!!! Entry is free of charge and a vote will be held for the top floats with prizes given to the top 3. You may decorate your float however you'd like as long as it is decked out in lights, and the more we have, the merrier!
