City of Storm Lake issued the following announcement on Jan. 8.
Board & Commission Openings
The City of Storm Lake has openings on the following boards and commissions:
ADA Compliance Committee
Planning & Zoning Board
Board of Adjustment
Storm Water Advisory
Library Board of Trustees
Mayor’s Advisory Committee for Parks, Trails & Urban Forest
The City complies with Iowa Law regarding gender-balanced boards. Appointment for immediate openings and reappointments will first be given to those who help the City comply with and make the board gender-balanced.
Individuals who are interested in participating in local government or who have an interest in one of these boards are encouraged to apply for openings as they become available.
Applications are available at City Hall during normal business hours (8 AM – 5 PM) or can be downloaded from the City’s website at http://www.stormlake.org/DocumentCenter/View/415/Board-Commission-Application-Form?bidId=
