THE SECURITY NATIONAL BANK OF SIOUX CITY, IOWA: Security National Bank Welcomes Irvin as Senior Trust Counsel and Trust Officer

The Security National Bank of Sioux City, Iowa issued the following announcement on Jan. 3. 

D. Douglas Rice, Chairman, President and CEO of Security National Bank, is proud to announce the following new Officer:

Kyle Irvin has been named Senior Trust Counsel and Trust Officer, providing legal oversight and guidance within the Bank’s Wealth Management Division. He is transitioning from a successful career as partner at the Corbett, Anderson, Corbett, Vellinga & Irvin Law Firm in Sioux City. As a licensed attorney in Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota; Irvin has practiced law for the past 15 years, primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration, corporations and real estate.

Irvin holds his Juris Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Law, and an undergraduate degree in history and political science from Northwestern College. He is a member of the Iowa, Nebraska and South Dakota State Bar Associations and serves on the Board of Directors for the Iowa Academy of Trust and Estate Counsel (IATEC), the governing board that creates legislation and advises the Iowa state legislature on all matters related to trust and probate policy.

Irvin served as the 2017 chair of the Iowa State Bar Association’s Probate and Trust Section. He is also a Fellow with the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), a national group of lawyers and law professors who are selected for their outstanding reputation, exceptional skill and substantial contributions to the field by lecturing, writing, teaching and participating in bar activities.

Well regarded by his peers, Irvin has been awarded the highest “A-V Preeminent Attorney” standard by the Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Review Ratings™, which is especially noteworthy because it is based on the confidential opinions and recommendations from judges and fellow attorneys familiar with Irvin’s legal abilities and ethical standards.

Also active in the community, Irvin has served as President of the Siouxland Center for Active Generations and the Siouxland Estate Planning Council; and he is a board member for Sunrise Manor. He has taught classes as an adjunct instructor at various institutions, including Briar Cliff University, South Dakota State University and the University of South Dakota School of Law.
