City of Cherokee issued the following announcement on May 1.
The City Council of the City of Cherokee will be filling two 5-year terms on the Board of Adjustment. Duties of the Board are to act on requests for variances from the City’s Zoning Code. The Board generally meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. on an as needed basis when a variance request is received. To be eligible to serve, you must be at least 18 years of age and reside within the city limits of Cherokee. Board members serve without compensation.
