Library stock 01

City of Sioux City issued the following announcement on June 22.

Sioux City Public Library moves into phase two of their reopening plan on Monday, July 6, when their Morningside Branch (4005 Morningside Ave., Sioux City, 51106) opens to the public. New hours for the branch location are Monday-Friday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

When visiting the Library, patrons can expect to find that normal procedures have changed to accommodate the health and safety of both patrons and staff, such as:

• Extra staff available to assist with retrieving materials from within the stacks.

• Public computers available by appointment and sanitized between each use.

• Returned materials placed in quarantine before returning to circulation.

• Exact change required for transactions.

• Reading and sitting areas closed.

Library goers are encouraged to wear masks and practice social distancing. Contactless curbside pickup at the Library's Perry Creek Branch continues for those who prefer that method of Library service.

For more information about the Library's reopening plan or contactless curbside pickup, visit their website at www.SiouxCityLibrary.org.
